شاشة LED COB cost depends on pixel pitch, brightness, materials, cabinet construction, refresh rate, driver IC, redundancy, and delivery scope. A square-meter figure represents only part of the budget.
Similar-sized displays may include different hardware, control systems, and delivery obligations. Before comparing totals, establish what each supplier delivers, where responsibility ends, and which costs the buyer pays separately. The installed project cost and ongoing operating and maintenance costs should also be evaluated independently.
A quotation has two dimensions: pricing basis and delivery boundary. Square-meter and complete-screen prices describe how the equipment price is calculated. EXW, FCA, FOB, and DDP establish where delivery occurs and how costs and risks are allocated.

Calculate the area from the width and height of the active display surface and reconcile it with the cabinet layout. Decorative trim and supporting structures should not be counted as active display area when comparing screen prices.
For a theoretical 4.8 × 2.7 m active area, an exact 1.25 mm pixel pitch produces 3,840 × 2,160 pixels. An exact 1.50 mm pitch produces 3,200 × 1,800 pixels, provided that the cabinet and module layouts support those dimensions.
Both systems may accept a 4K input signal, but only the first has a native 4K pixel matrix. A processor can scale a 4K source to a lower-resolution wall, but this does not add physical pixels.
Define the viewing distance, content, and screen size before requesting prices. See كيفية اختيار شاشة عرض LED بتقنية COB لمشروعك for a project-based selection process.
COB describes a packaging method, not a complete product specification. Displays with the same area and pixel pitch can still use different brightness levels, LED chips, PCBs, driver ICs, scan architectures, cabinets, power systems, surface treatments, and quality-control processes.
لشبكة بكسل مربعة منتظمة:
Pixels per square meter ≈ (1,000 ÷ pixel pitch in millimeters)²
An exact P1.25 display provides approximately 640,000 pixels per square meter. P0.9375 provides approximately 1,137,778 pixels per square meter, an increase of about 78%.
Higher pixel density means more pixels must be manufactured, inspected, driven, and calibrated. It may also increase the required controller capacity. However, the price will not necessarily increase by the same 78%, because production yield, order volume, materials, and product architecture also affect cost.
Brightness influences LED chip selection, drive current, power capacity, and thermal design. Buyers should distinguish among maximum brightness, calibrated brightness, and normal operating brightness. The quotation should state the white point, operating mode, and measurement conditions.
Meeting rooms, control rooms, and retail spaces exposed to daylight do not require the same operating brightness. Shadow detail, gradients, and uniformity should be evaluated at the intended brightness, rather than only at the maximum specification.
When requesting prices for different brightness options, determine whether the difference comes from changed hardware or from operating settings applied to the same hardware. Changing a brightness setting does not always require different components. However, a higher sustainable brightness may require different chips, power capacity, or thermal provisions.
“Material quality” should be translated into identifiable components. LED chips, PCB construction and copper weight, encapsulation materials, surface treatment, power supplies, connectors, and other components can all affect the price.
A general statement such as “premium materials” is not enough for a purchasing decision. Quotation attachments should record key models, specifications, or controlled revisions. Any substitution affecting performance, compatibility, or serviceability should require buyer approval.
Technical evidence should also correspond to the production configuration. A sample manufactured with one PCB, driver IC, or power supply does not automatically validate production units delivered with a different configuration.
Cabinet material affects forming, machining, assembly, and production cost. The performance of a plastic structure depends on the resin, reinforcement, and mechanical design. The performance of a die-cast aluminum cabinet depends on its alloy, casting quality, machining accuracy, and structural design.
The material name alone does not prove that one cabinet will be lighter, more durable, more accurate, or better at transferring heat.
When comparing quotations, check cabinet dimensions, weight, flatness, alignment accuracy, mounting method, and service access. Also confirm whether “plastic” refers to the complete cabinet, the module housing, or another structural component.
Cabinet selection may change packing volume, shipment weight, freight cost, and the required support structure. The comparison should therefore extend beyond the purchase price of the cabinet itself.
Refresh rate depends on the driver IC, scan architecture, timing configuration, and receiving-system settings. A high nominal refresh rate does not automatically guarantee stripe-free camera images or good low-brightness rendering.
The quotation should identify the driver IC model, scan method, and operating conditions under which the quoted refresh rate is achieved. If the display will be filmed, test it with the planned camera and settings at the intended operating brightness. Review near-black steps, gradients, and screen uniformity.
Keep brightness, white point, gamma, and calibration status consistent when comparing samples. A refresh-rate value achieved in one demonstration mode should not be treated as proof that the same performance is available at every brightness and grayscale setting.
Receiving-card and power-supply redundancy should be presented as explicit quotation options. Redundancy can add cards, power supplies, cables, connectors, installation space, and commissioning work.
Receiving-card redundancy should describe the two signal paths, failover settings, and covered failures. Power redundancy should describe the supply topology, switching or current-sharing method, and whether the screen can maintain the agreed brightness after one power supply fails.
Stored receiving cards and power supplies are maintenance spares. They are different from installed redundant devices that actively participate in automatic or controlled failover.
Suppliers should quote the following configurations separately:
Two receiving cards or two power supplies are not necessarily redundant if they serve separate screen areas or share the same upstream path. The quotation should state which failure scenario each configuration is intended to cover, followed by a practical failover test.

When comparing packaging technologies, assess P1.2 COB vs SMD: Which Offers Better Project Value under the same operating requirements, test conditions, and delivery scope.
The project budget should cover everything required to bring the display into operation:
Installed project cost = quoted equipment excluded equipment الخدمات اللوجستية موقع العمل التكليف applicable taxes and other charges
Each cost should be assigned to one responsible party. Items already included in the supplier’s price should not be counted again.
Controller selection depends on native resolution, output-port mapping, input formats, frame rate, bit depth, and processing requirements. Ask the supplier for a system diagram and confirmation that the selected hardware and firmware can support the required mode.
Multi-window processing, long-distance transmission, and backup signal paths may add equipment. A general statement such as “control redundancy” should clarify whether the backup covers the processor, transmission cable, output port, or receiving-card path.
The support structure must account for display weight, mounting method, flatness, alignment, and maintenance access. Front-service modules do not guarantee that power supplies, cables, and structural connections can also be accessed from the front.
Unloading, lifting, working height, permitted construction hours, access routes, and wall condition can all change the installation cost. A fixed installation percentage should therefore not be applied to every project.
An “installed price” should specify whether it includes:
The first question in a freight quotation is whether the customer has a freight forwarder that will collect the goods from the factory. If the customer arranges collection, the customer may pay the forwarder directly. However, packaging, loading, export clearance, and handover responsibilities must still be defined.
Factory collection is not automatically EXW. If the supplier loads the goods and completes export clearance, FCA at the named factory address may better match the actual responsibilities.
If the supplier is responsible for transport to a port, the quotation should identify the port and exact handover point. “Delivery to port” does not automatically mean FOB.
FOB applies only to sea or inland waterway transport, with delivery completed when the goods are placed on board the vessel at the named port of shipment. For containerized cargo handed to a carrier at a terminal before loading, FCA often reflects the actual handover more accurately. FOB should not be used for air freight.
For delivery to the destination, confirm whether import clearance, duties, and taxes are included. Under DDP, the seller normally delivers import-cleared goods to the named destination. However, DDP does not automatically include unloading, movement inside the building, lifting, installation, or commissioning.
A freight quotation should state:
Transport mode and trade terms answer different questions. Sea, air, and road describe how the goods move. EXW, FCA, FOB, and DDP define contractual delivery responsibilities and risk-transfer points. Both should appear clearly in the quotation.
Electrical infrastructure should be designed from maximum demand, input voltage, circuit requirements, inrush current, grounding, and protection. Measured average operating power cannot replace maximum-power information used for electrical design.
Cooling requirements should be evaluated from equipment location, airflow, occupancy, existing HVAC capacity, and operating schedule. Display electricity consumption should not be treated as the air-conditioning electricity consumption, and auxiliary equipment should be calculated separately.
Estimate electricity cost from measured average power at the intended brightness with representative content. A “typical power” figure is useful only when the content, brightness, operating mode, warm-up period, measurement duration, and measurement boundary are defined.
The data should also state whether it includes only the display or includes controllers, video processors, and other equipment.
Annual electricity cost = average power (kW) × hours per day × operating days per year × electricity tariff
When power is stated in W/m²:
Display power (kW) = measured power (W/m²) × active display area (m²) ÷ 1,000
The following is a hypothetical budgeting exercise, not data from a particular product or project:
Active display area: 12 m²;
Operating time: 10 hours per day;
Annual use: 300 days;
Example tariff: $0.20/kWh.

These figures are not product specifications. Controller power, standby consumption, and HVAC electricity excluded from the measurement should be added separately. Projects with time-of-use tariffs or demand charges require a more detailed operating model.
Products should be compared at the same brightness, content, white point, and operating mode. Maximum power is primarily used for electrical design and should not be used directly to calculate normal electricity costs.
A warranty defines remedies under specified conditions. It does not necessarily cover site labor, transportation, routine maintenance, or the time required to restore the display. Buyers should review the contract rather than comparing only the warranty period.

Trained technicians may be able to replace modules, power supplies, or receiving cards. Repairing COB chips, interconnections, or encapsulated areas may require specialist equipment and facilities.
Spare parts should match the interfaces, hardware revisions, firmware, and optical characteristics of the installed screen. The quotation should also state how replaced parts will be calibrated.
Spare quantities should be based on screen scale, replenishment lead time, site access, and downtime risk. A warranty does not automatically make the following items free:

Comparable project budget = supplier quotation required project costs paid separately by the buyer
Freight paid directly by the customer to a forwarder is not zero. At the same time, freight, taxes, or services already included in a supplier’s quotation should not be counted twice. Unresolved items should be marked as pending rather than assumed to be included.
For example, a standard-power offer collected at the factory cannot be compared directly with a destination-delivered offer that includes receiving-card and power-supply redundancy. First align the configuration and delivery point, and then price optional upgrades and logistics separately.
Q1. Why Do COB Displays with the Same Pixel Pitch Have Different Prices?
A1: Brightness, LED chips and other materials, cabinet construction, driver IC, refresh rate, receiving-card and power redundancy, service, and delivery responsibilities may still differ.
Q2. Does Every Project Need Receiving-Card and Power-Supply Redundancy?
A2: No. The decision should be based on the operational impact of downtime, recovery-time requirements, and budget. Buyers should also confirm which failures are covered and whether common failure points remain.
Q3. Does Having a Freight Forwarder Eliminate Transportation Costs?
A3: No. The customer may pay the forwarder directly, but packaging, factory collection, loading, export clearance, main freight, and destination charges still need to be allocated.
Q4. Can Buyers Compare Square-Meter Prices Before Defining the Requirements?
A4: Only for preliminary budgeting. Configuration, active display area, and delivery scope should be aligned before itemized totals are compared.
A useful COB LED display quotation defines both the product configuration and the delivery responsibilities. Buyers should confirm pixel pitch, brightness, materials, cabinet construction, refresh rate, driver IC, and redundancy before comparing prices.
Forwarder arrangements and trade terms must then be aligned so that each price difference can be traced to the display hardware, an optional upgrade, project engineering, logistics, or service scope.
Send Premteco your screen dimensions, viewing distance, target brightness and refresh rate, redundancy requirements, and factory-collection arrangement or destination address. Premteco can then provide configuration recommendations and an itemized quotation based on the actual project.
